Coopérnico will realize its first project of photovoltaic in model of self consumption! This is a very important step for our Cooperative, which wants, more and more, to support the third sector in the installation of self-consumption systems.

Our partner is the Agricultural Cooperative of Mangualde (CAM), founded in 1951, and was the first Cooperative in the Country to be known as a Producers Organization. CAM covers an area of influence of 19 municipalities in the region of Beira Alta, bounded by the Serras da Estrela and Caramulo. It markets apple, pear, hazelnuts and red fruits (blueberries, cherries, strawberries, etc.).

This photovoltaic power plant will produce 131,067 kWh per year, which is equivalent to the consumption of 50 families. This is the 15th renewable production project. We are looking forward to our first project in self-consumption model.
